L. A. Zoe, Romance Writer

Who is L. A. Zoe, romance writer?

L. A. grew up in the Midwest in the 50s and 60s, participating in the social upheaval of the late 60s and the 70s.

Now L.A. lives in a tropical paradise with the loves of Zoe’s life and the rest of the extended family. Zoe loves swimming and beaches, but rarely has time to go. Zoe loves the music, books and movies of growing up, but refuses to dwell in the past. The best time to be alive is always right now.

Despite problems and many troubles, humanity is progressing. Zoe celebrates the opportunities the new world of the Internet and other technologies has opened up for creative people to get their works to an audience without the interference of gatekeepers.

In traditional publishing, romance is a ghettoized genre. It’s large, but not given any respect. But it’s by far the largest genre in indie publishing. Readers can’t get enough of it.

Although Zoe enjoys watching many large-scale adventure and fantasy novels and was a fan of superhero comic books while growing up, Zoe mourns the emphasis of Hollywood on making movies that are just animated comic books. The medium can do that, sure, but so much else. That’s why Zoe prefers older movies to new ones. And for new ones, prefers Bollywood movies because they still make movies with great love stories.

Also, Zoe enjoys living in a country with a much younger demographic than the United States. Zoe still feels just as young as before The Beatles broke up. In this country, kids and teens are numerous. So are young adults with small children and babies. And pregnant women.

They’re busy working and building a future for themselves, their families and their country. They’re not worried about Social Security or pensions. There are elderly, and they are treated with respect and love, and taken care of.

The future remains with the young, so Zoe refuses to grow old.
